Dear AWC website visitor,
Pardon our dust! We are busily working behind the barricades on a new and improved AWC website, which we hope you will enjoy and feel very much at home checking in on everything Whippet! In the meantime, realizing that many of you want the scoop on the AWC 2014 National, we've collected everything we have for now below. Thanks for stopping by, and we hope you will love the new website when it launches this summer.
The AWC Board
The AWC puts on a National Specialty which is held in a different part of the country each year so that fanciers in all regions can have the opportunity to attend a National in their area. The National Specialty includes a Futurity event for puppies 18 months of age and younger (see below). In addition, the AWC sponsors six regional Whippet specialties (Western, Midwest, Eastern, Southern, North Central, and South Central).
The host hotel for the 2014 AWC National is the Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, MD. See their website at:
"The Hunt Valley Inn Baltimore hotel, a Wyndham® Affiliate, is perfectly situated just north of Baltimore, MD. Baltimore Hunt Valley Inn has the facilities to exceed your every expectation. Located within walking distance to Hunt Valley Towne Center shopping, Regal Cinemas and Wegman's, our hotel is moments from all your business and leisure needs. The Hunt Valley Inn Baltimore is also just minutes from Oregon Ridge Park, Baltimore's scenic Inner Harbor, the Baltimore National Aquarium, University of Maryland Baltimore, the Maryland Zoo, Camden Yards and the Baltimore Convention Center."
The AWC room rate is $119 a night. Please tell them you are with the AWC when you make your reservation to make sure that you get the special rate.
